I stand here,
In the sunlight.
Is that you God,
Looking down?
Maybe it's dark,
This a streetlight,
Shining down now,
Here on the ground.
Smell the green grass,
Below the snow,
A brutal temptress,
Puts on a show.
What is this hate,
Here and I don't know?
What is this fate,
Pushing, cannot grow?
Damned be the sunlight,
For shining on my face,
Damned be the moonlight,
Bringing this disgrace.
Why do I have to feel,
Know this right and wrong?
Are these people even real,
Or just without a song?
I feel my heart beat stronger,
Or is this a war drum?
How can I save them,
When it beats so young?
Is this them,
Or just their pressures,
Do we create them,
Or is this measured?
These war drum's beating,
Inside our chests,
Though mine's retreating,
Facing life's tests.
And as my mind works,
Does my heart grow numb?
Or is this how life works?
Old leads on to young.
What is this beating,
A war drum's tone?
Why are we living,
If we fight to be alone?

Revolution For Evolution
Awakened by a doorbell in the night,
Run to answer the door,
Welcomed by a burning bag of life.
Placed on my doorstep,
No trace, no sign of the deliverer,
Only a question
Of whether to get life on my new boots,
Or watch my house burn before my eyes,
Before my thoughts could synthesize.
Are our babies awakening to infernos,
Living life in a pit fire?
Working their life lost in the heat,
Without a chance to aspire?
Without a chance to breathe
Before facing the fire?
How can I be free,
With someone leading me?
How can I see,
When I only see what you show me?
How can we give in so easily,
Lead our lives this way?
Maybe because we're not leading them,
But instead following them as we pray.
What do I want,
What am I looking for?
I want a revolution for evolution,
A reexamination of life.
Take another look,
At what we call right.
Run to answer the door,
Welcomed by a burning bag of life.
Placed on my doorstep,
No trace, no sign of the deliverer,
Only a question
Of whether to get life on my new boots,
Or watch my house burn before my eyes,
Before my thoughts could synthesize.

Nothing Left To Hide
In my empathetic mind,
I reached deep down inside,
And touched a man that had everything,
Nothing left to hide,
And there I found the future,
No longer latched to past,
Memories I loved so much,
Wash away at last.
A weight holding me to the floor,
An overcoming bigger
Than I'd ever tried before,
But my only chance
Of ever finding more.
End my relentless pursuit,
Of material gains in time,
And venture in to something limitless,
Far beyond my mind,
With an open hope to discover it,
If not more beyond my shine,
To work in peace,
And live fullfilled,
Progress for our trying.
I reached deep down inside,
And touched a man that had everything,
Nothing left to hide,
And there I found the future,
No longer latched to past,

The One You Can't Put Your Finger On
My mind is gone,
I've escaped at last.
This light has blinded,
This hope has bound me.
Now I've let go,
Of every ray of light,
Every hope of life,
I can finally rest,
In my darkness.
I fear no evil,
For the evil is me,
I take any form I dream to be.
In your nightmares,
Lurking in the night,
But a shadow,
Even in the light.
You test yourself,
But it's me you fight.
I am the emptiness,
The sadness,
The hole in yourself.
You're but a holding cell,
For uncried tears,
A trembling tension,
Awaiting unseen fears.
I'm the doubt that clouds your fight,
When you try to stand for right,
I'm the blood kids bleed
When they scrape their knees,
I swallow the prayers countless people plead.
I eat their hope as they devour my greed.
I am the one you can't but you're finger on,
I'm what makes this world run.
You are my slave,
You do my bidding,
I am your government,
I am your culture,
I am your own creation.
I've escaped at last.
This light has blinded,
This hope has bound me.
Now I've let go,
Of every ray of light,
Every hope of life,
I can finally rest,
In my darkness.
I fear no evil,

Violet Skies
The periwinkle moon hangs in violet skies,
Red hot sun falling at day's demise,
The colors above us, reflections of light,
The lives we live between day and night,
Hues arranged in rainbows of color,
Filling our lives with a hopeful wonder.
Your eyes are a canvas for my dreams,
Life more than the gray it sometimes seems.
The difference we make in our waking hours,
The love life takes and sometimes devours,
Let us be blessed by the sky's colorful wonder,
Pull us from this cloud we're under,
To see the sky in your eyes,
Let this love live where it lies.
I can look above to try to find this love,
To see the colors streaking hope across the sky,
Or I can see the memories we're made up of,
As I paint this picture of us in your eye.
Please don't blink, oh please don't fade away,
In your eyes I never face another cloudy day.
Red hot sun falling at day's demise,
The colors above us, reflections of light,
The lives we live between day and night,
Hues arranged in rainbows of color,
Filling our lives with a hopeful wonder.
Your eyes are a canvas for my dreams,

I Am But A Vessel
I am but a vessel,
A husk carrying a seed.
This reality
No longer real to me.
Facing a test of time
And limitations,
Of painful
Temptations.
When I'm faced with the test,
As my body lays to rest,
Will I be willing to give all I am,
Give up the materials of man,
And share my love, my soul, my time,
To realise that they were never mine,
To help the wayward soul,
Brokendown at the side of the road?
When it comes down
To them or me,
Will I be able to see,
We're here for our soul to grow,
Our minds to sew?
It's only in the acceptance of the unknown,
That this world has become less cold.
A husk carrying a seed.
This reality
No longer real to me.
Facing a test of time
And limitations,
Of painful
Temptations.
When I'm faced with the test,
As my body lays to rest,

Getting Lost
Surrounded by my emptiness,
Talking to the wall,
Dreaming of reality,
Nothing's making sense at all.
Getting lost inside my mind,
Only to find I'm too small,
If I were to fall down,
There's no telling how far I'd fall.
Twisting me into haves,
And have knots,
Overshadowed by my thoughts,
Wondering who I am without my mind,
Without my place in time.
When they take away what's left of me,
What will be left to find?
And who will be there to find it,
Or will they be too blind?
Look inside your honest answers,
And find your own truths,
Question your questions,
And answer your answers,
To find your true roots,
Your life is the answer to what you find,
Realize life has started,
Let yourself not be blind.
Talking to the wall,
Dreaming of reality,
Nothing's making sense at all.
Getting lost inside my mind,
Only to find I'm too small,
If I were to fall down,
There's no telling how far I'd fall.

Magic
Life is magic,
A miracle of nature,
In our abundance
Of infinite space.
Lifeless leagues of nothing,
Balls of burning gas,
For us to wish upon their power.
The lines we draw,
In a night sky's darkness,
The shapes we see,
In clouds of our atmosphere.
The magic of the world,
Existing in our minds,
The slight of hand,
That takes us to worlds unseen,
Worlds that have never been,
Places we could only dream.
Dreaming of more,
Living less.
The magic is when,
These worlds connect.
From a dream,
To a big screen,
From a puzzled look,
To a bound book.
From dream to reality,
A creators mentality.
We are walking in our dreams,
Sleeping only to rest,
To best live the dream of tomorrow.
A miracle of nature,
In our abundance
Of infinite space.
Lifeless leagues of nothing,
Balls of burning gas,
For us to wish upon their power.
The lines we draw,
In a night sky's darkness,

As Our World Fades Away
We are the evolving animal,
The one that grows in mind.
The one with unlimited potential,
In what our race can find.
Overcoming our emotions,
To pursue rational thought,
Though a beast waits deep inside,
Fighting the fight time has fought.
When the world weighs on us,
Infinite questions on our shoulders,
Will we be the one that breaks down,
Or faces life unwilling to hate others?
In every flaw of every person,
There is an opportunity to understand,
That what each person has become,
Was never really planned.
We are all writing books,
Novels of where we've been,
The sights, the sounds, the actions,
Influence of circumstance, family, friend.
When we most experience our nature,
When the volcano inside erupts,
Will we see the error in our ways,
That our emotions a corrupt?
No gesture made in anger,
Can ever further our race,
For no love survives in that emotion,
That only us, not time can erase.
So in your fitful hateful rage,
Find a truth in yourself,
That it's not power, money or greed,
It's love and kindness that's the wealth.
For only in a sober mind,
Can we see our destiny's fate,
Or lose our sense of balance,
As our world fades away.
The one that grows in mind.
The one with unlimited potential,
In what our race can find.
Overcoming our emotions,
To pursue rational thought,
Though a beast waits deep inside,
Fighting the fight time has fought.

Enlighten Yourself
How is success measured,
And who is to measure me?
I own no home.
I have no money,
I'm a nomad,
I'm meant to roam.
I counted my pennies,
But couldn't afford a phone.
I have a job, I went to college,
But I'll throw it all away.
Money's always meant nothing to me,
And still to this day.
If you want to be great,
Make yourself better,
If you want to be the best,
Read the rest of this letter.
There is no contest,
Life is not a race.
Competition exist only in minds,
And on a competitor's face.
We create hate,
We let dream be reality.
If we took everything,
As but a formality,
If we dedicated our lives
To creating the means for every life.
We could lift the world,
Eliminate strife.
If we knew that we did our part
We would be guaranteed a home,
Food in our belly,
Mending for a broken bone.
If you knew you would always
Have the time to nourish your soul,
Could you let go?
Could you burn up all the money,
Burn down the bridges of a delusioned past?
Life is what we make it,
The only thing that we can be the best of
Is ourselves,
The only person you can be better than
Is your former self,
But that isn't competition,
It is growth,
It is maturation,
It's understanding's
Celebration.
We are meant to work together,
Not against,
Our minds are greater together,
The world must be convinced.
Enlighten yourself,
Live the change.
And who is to measure me?
I own no home.
I have no money,
I'm a nomad,
I'm meant to roam.

Lost In Transition
Sometimes harmony finds me,
As I introduce paper and pen,
And if things don't go right,
I can always start again.
Scribbles and backspaces,
Erasing the places
Whiteout would have been.
Sometimes I type loudly,
To feel like a real typewriter,
And talk in texts with different fonts,
Highlighted by highlighter.
And when you see my voice in ink,
I hope you think,
"I've seen no words brighter."
Lost in this transition,
Of art and composition,
An age for the brave
To venture unyielding,
Combining technology and feeling.
I see no path to follow here,
But it seems the path is clear.
As I introduce paper and pen,
And if things don't go right,
I can always start again.
Scribbles and backspaces,
Erasing the places
Whiteout would have been.
Sometimes I type loudly,
To feel like a real typewriter,

But it seems the path is clear.

Sorry
I'm sorry,
I'm missing the memories you're making,
Don't know,
Where I'll be waking at each day's breaking.
Been searching,
Been trying to find myself,
Although now,
You found yourself with someone else.
You are
All I know of love.
You are
All I dream of.
Got one light on,
In this dark room,
Window open,
So I can see the moon,
Praying a star falls,
So I can wish,
One dark night,
To taste your kiss.
Sun wakes me,
Where I am,
I realize,
Life has no plan,
So as I write this script,
I always keep my grip
On the dreams I dream,
And all they mean,
To the hopes of the world,
To the lovers of girls.
I'll be the requiem dream
The dreamers always dreamt,
And I'll always keep your love
In the place it's always kept,
Here in my heart,
Here In my heart,
You're always here in my heart.
I'm missing the memories you're making,
Don't know,
Where I'll be waking at each day's breaking.
Been searching,
Been trying to find myself,

To Exist...
To exist...
Everything coming from something,
Tracing and originating,
Following with our fingers,
The lines in the lineage of our trees.
No redwood grows so tall as existance,
That which is in part and whole all things,
Beginnings in which to simply exist.
Beyond where my eyes can see,
A dimension simply existing,
Extension of our being.
Ignorance cannot erase existance,
Life moves on if you understand or not.
Everything coming from something,
Tracing and originating,
Following with our fingers,
The lines in the lineage of our trees.
No redwood grows so tall as existance,
That which is in part and whole all things,
Beginnings in which to simply exist.

Lost My Mind
Doctor looked in my ear,
To see what he could find
Said "I think you've lost your brain, man,
I think you've lost your mind.
"I said "I didn't know
It was mad enough to go,
I just thought it got a little crazy,
Was putting on a show.
"But oh, now how I'm lost here,
With out my precious mind,
Because I've been searching,
But didn't know what I should find.
Oh and so I go from here,
Without a thought inside,
But at least I've got my eyes,
So I know that I'm not blind.
To see what he could find
Said "I think you've lost your brain, man,
I think you've lost your mind.
"I said "I didn't know
It was mad enough to go,
I just thought it got a little crazy,
Was putting on a show.
"But oh, now how I'm lost here,
With out my precious mind,
Because I've been searching,
But didn't know what I should find.
Oh and so I go from here,
Without a thought inside,
But at least I've got my eyes,
So I know that I'm not blind.

Sheep
Sheep lives his life
Sheared for what he's worth,
Allowed to live
For this reason from birth.
Making his sounds
So you can hear his voice,
Following his flock
As if by his own choice.
A number
Flocked in with the numerous,
His name
Around the fields is rumorous.
The sheep that shore himself,
Sold his wool for his wealth.
Numbered his numerous friends,
Gave them a chance to start again.
Sheep sheared by sheep
To fullfill imaginary needs,
Sheep full of wool
Giving in to their greed.
Sheared for what he's worth,
Allowed to live
For this reason from birth.
Making his sounds
So you can hear his voice,
Following his flock

Time
Subtle subtlties,
Novel novelties,
Paintings painted with pain.
Rhyming riddles of life,
Wrecklessly written.
A footprint,
In the sandgrains of time,
Washing down upon the faith of life,
Like noxious fumes lingering in,
Listlessly killing lascivious lies.
More gregarious virtue,
Cannot instill in my ties,
Because In my search for the future,
All I found was time .

Man's Holy Might
Can I share my deepest art,
Will you understand my moving part,
Among these cogs of life?
When they come with weapons drawn,
To try to make my mind move on,
Will you stand without gun or knife?
Will I stand unarmed, unashamed,
As the world from it's fires calls my name,
To look behind me to see only night?
If I sing for you my voice,
Will you hear my words or only noise?
This is the unanswered in my life.
Can you ever see through my eyes,
And know in life's delusioned lies,
To love and understand is always right?
I pray, though unsure who to,
That you find God is truly you,
And stand behind man's holy might.
Will you understand my moving part,
Among these cogs of life?
When they come with weapons drawn,
To try to make my mind move on,
Will you stand without gun or knife?
Will I stand unarmed, unashamed,
As the world from it's fires calls my name,
To look behind me to see only night?

And stand behind man's holy might.
One In A Million
Missed my one in a million chance,
To love life and dance,
Lost in sadness of opportunity missed,
Cheeks glisten from salty mist.
Trying to recreate the wheel,
Anything to make life more real,
Trying to love the life that's there,
Finding that I don't really care.
Living somebody else's something special,
Is this life meant for me?
Drawing my thoughts in charcoal pencil,
What words will you see?
A silent brushstroke,
Made on the canvas of life,
Painting in the proof,
Crimson red on the knife,
The art that killed,
That brought man to his knees,
Where the man cries,
And now where he pleads,
"Let me have that memory,
Please lord bring it back,
It was a one in a million,
Can you not see that?"
To love life and dance,
Lost in sadness of opportunity missed,
Cheeks glisten from salty mist.
Trying to recreate the wheel,
Anything to make life more real,
Trying to love the life that's there,
Finding that I don't really care.

Alright Life
The progress, the confidence,
The flowing of our minds,
Filling our little lives,
With all that we find.
Attics of our memories,
Experience unfolds,
Warming us inside,
Through winter's bitter colds.
A templed paradise,
Of free thought,
Paintings decorating,
When life was for naught.
Finding our knick knacks,
And memories,
Doing with our lives,
As we please,
Discovering less,
But becoming more,
Finding what life's looking for.
Here we are standing,
Looking over life,
Memories saying,
We lived life right,
So let's rest our heads,
Down for the night,
And be confident,
Everything will be alright.
The flowing of our minds,
Filling our little lives,
With all that we find.
Attics of our memories,
Experience unfolds,
Warming us inside,
Through winter's bitter colds.
A templed paradise,
Of free thought,
Paintings decorating,
When life was for naught.
Finding our knick knacks,
And memories,
Doing with our lives,
As we please,
Discovering less,
But becoming more,
Finding what life's looking for.
Here we are standing,
Looking over life,
Memories saying,
We lived life right,
So let's rest our heads,
Down for the night,
And be confident,
Everything will be alright.

Puppet Master
The blue waters of your eyes are shallow,
Barely knee deep.
The echo of your voice is hollow,
Empty words to keep.
The blood in your veins is cold,
Your heart of ice.
The games you play are old,
Playing as she likes.
Stand up people now,
So you can plainly see,
This girl and how,
She makes a puppet of me.
Arms like twigs,
Legs like limbs,
Lynching tree lives,
On hearts and figs.
Hanging on the look she gives,
Believing she's more mine than his.
You do not see my beauty,
Or the red of the blood I bleed.
You do not see my heart twist,
As you squeeze my every need,
You do not show mercy,
As you bat a shadowed eye,
You quietly say you love me,
Though you care not if I die.
If a heart to break,
Is truely what you need,
There is only one place,
You need to come to feed,
As the puppet master pulls the strings,
Can you see my heart beat?
Put on a show for all to see,
Drinking and kissing on me.
Another bar girl of dreams,
Twisting my every need.
Thought I knew you better than them,
But here I am drunk again,
Strings too thin for me to see.
Barely knee deep.
The echo of your voice is hollow,
Empty words to keep.
The blood in your veins is cold,
Your heart of ice.
The games you play are old,
Playing as she likes.
Stand up people now,

The Rock
I touched a rock and it was smoothe,
I saw water falling so I knew,
To change it from the rock it was,
It needed some help from above.
Above was the water only,
Falling ever so slowly.
I wonder if the rock could understand,
What it is was never really planned
I saw water falling so I knew,
To change it from the rock it was,
It needed some help from above.
Above was the water only,
Falling ever so slowly.
I wonder if the rock could understand,
What it is was never really planned
Alone
No lap to lay my head,
No words to ease my pain,
I've never felt more alone,
Than I feel today.
Yesterday I was making plans,
Today my head's in my hands.
If this is life I don't want to live,
For I have no more I can give.
Every minute I live is disaster,
Every breath I take is pained.
What, oh what does it take,
To take it all away?
Hours from my sanity,
Darkness has ahold of me.
Even in the light I can only see,
The essence of eternity
,The brevity of life,
The darkness of night.
Alive but alone,
A loneliness I can't postpone,
At the command,
Of the hour hand.
No words to ease my pain,
I've never felt more alone,
Than I feel today.
Yesterday I was making plans,
Today my head's in my hands.
If this is life I don't want to live,
For I have no more I can give.
Every minute I live is disaster,
Every breath I take is pained.

Removing The Me, Motivating The You
Make me better than I am,
Build me up so I can be more,
Fix up my brokedown plan,
Help me see what life is for.
Sing a song to me,
About how we became free.
Light a candle so I can see,
What independence can be.
I'm better than I am,
I believe this slowly.
Not just a slave to society,
Want more than what Master gives me.
Don't want to be at my beginning's end,
Trying to begin again.
We have to change life's way,
Believe this friend.
I know you can't give me
What I need to find,
I know that hearing the words
Won't ease my mind.
It's an awakening,
A motivation needed.
Inspiration when we feel
Life has us defeated.
Change happens
Whether we're aware or not,
We make the decision,
If making a difference is worth a shot.
Clean hands carry out no plans,
It is the dirty that deserve adoring fans.
We can change this life,
Once it's no longer about me.
We can improve this life,
To help the people see,
What's missing from life,
That you never knew,
The biggest factor of all,
Has always been you.
Build me up so I can be more,
Fix up my brokedown plan,
Help me see what life is for.
Sing a song to me,
About how we became free.
Light a candle so I can see,

Their Life
Found a way to survive,
Makes me believe I'm alive.
Make the most of what's here,
So long as I live with fear.
Don't know there's a difference to make,
Get what life gives me to take.
I guess the sun comes up, goes down,
That's what they tell me now.
In the papers and on the internet I read,
The information they choose to feed.
I'm bound here to the life I live,
And they tell me I have no more to give.

And they tell me I have no more to give.
Devil In Denial
A summer storm blew in,
A sign to start again.
Salty raindrops on flat rocks,
Accelerating time's shocks,
On my mind, on my heart,
Unit I cannot tell myself apart,
From the criminals and fiends,
The homeless with dreams.
The wind can blow the storm away,
Share a sunny sky on a cloudy day,
Is it but a breath of freedom as I drown in slavery,
Or a motivational moment to live life with bravery?
Every memory,
Soaked in whiskey.
Blacked out of life,
Did you miss me?
Try to keep thinking,
I'm doing things right,
But how can I lose
Touch with my life?
Is it a dare to dream or delusions of a fiend?
Falling at the folly of Gods and a King,
Dancing in fires hotter than hell could bring
,Living life as but a passing thing.
Give me something concrete,
Something solid beneath my feet.
Trying to peer from this hole,
I find the depths are cold.
I feel no heat down here now,
Though God has said how,
We burn in a literal pit of despair,
Where you breathe only flames not air.
Trust me,
It has been cold here since arrival,
Asking myself if I'm an angel,
Or the devil in denial.
A sign to start again.
